There is no doubt that construction industry in Africa is on a steady rise.Many contractors and investors have been keenly looking into ways of getting a share of the lucrative market.
According to recent research conducted by Deloitte many investors have been keenly putting their capital into the African market and the sweet part is they are ripping big from their investments.
East Africa: Construction of Uganda - Tanga Port Oil Pipeline Starts August

Construction of the envisaged 4 billion US-dollar (about 8 trillion/-) pipeline to transport crude oil from Kabale in Uganda to Tanga Port is slated to commence in August, pending ongoing discussions between the two governments and investors.
Largest solar farm in southern hemisphere launched

Late last week, Minister of Energy Tina Joemat-Pettersson inaugurated the 175MW Solar Capital facility based in De Aar, Northern Cape. It is the largest solar farm ever completed in the Southern Hemisphere, Africa and the Middle East region.This launch of the facility is the culmination of a two-phase project. The first phase has a capacity of 85MW and the second phase an even larger capacity of 90MW.
Kuwait Fund to support construction of major power plant in Egypt

Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), Middle East’s first institution to undertake active role in international development affairs has signed a financing agreement to fund the construction of a major power plant in Egypt to a tune of US$100 millions. The fund currently has 105 beneficially countries and boosts over US$18000 million in loan commitments.
