Angola: Products Manufactured in Glopol to Replace Imports

Luanda — The minister of Geology and Mining and Industry, Joaquim David, Monday, in Viana district, said that the manufacture of plastic products in the country will replace their imports.

 

Joaquim David, who was speaking at the inauguration of Glopol, a production unit of plastics, in Viana said that products manufactured in this unit have quality and possibly may compete in the international market and will replace imports.

 

According to the Cabinet minister, the buckets that were used to pack the Sonangol oil and lubricants, previously imported, now with better quality will be produced in the country.

 

Thus, also the buckets for agriculture and fisheries, mainly for industrial pallets, which are being manufactured in the country with best quality, robustness and ability to pass the tests required by the best companies are no longer imported.

 

He said that the existence of a unit at the factory refined for recycling plastic object, will allow the reuse of plastic.

 

Joaquim David appealed to the company's partners to engage and invest more to make the country grow.
