A whopping US$ 342m has been extended to manufacturing industry projects in Ethiopia projects by The Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE).
Manufacturing industry projects in Ethiopia which include agro- processing, leather, textile, metalwork, pharmaceuticals, chemical and construction were 235 in number and are among the priorities of the Ethiopian government.

The construction of the Majuba Rail Project in Mpumalanga Province of South Africa, funded in the region of R6b (US$378m), began in May 2013, and is set to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Engineering consultancy Aurecon has been awarded a 5-Star Green Star South Africa (SA) Office v1 Design rating by the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) for the company’s second office building in Century City, Cape Town.

Tanzania has embarked on a housing construction programme that will see 10,000 housing units built specifically for the Defense Forces of Tanzania (TPDF). The aim of the project is to help reduce a housing problem that soldiers in the country have been facing.
