The construction of a major railway in Ethiopia is about to be completed the The Ethiopian Railways Corporation has confirmed. The US$ 3.4bn Sebeta – Meiso- Dewele railway line is at 98 per cent.

Construction of a Tazara flyover at the junction of the Nelson Mandela Expressway and Nyerere Road in Tanzania capital Dar es Salaam will begin in earnest October, resident Engineer from Oriental Consultants Global, Kiyokazu Tsuji, has said.

Nigeria has launched Africa’s first China-assisted railway modernization project.The standard gauge railway project which measures 186.5km was officially inaugurated by president Mr Muhammadu Buhari.
Also at the event Nigeria’s transport minister Mr Rotimi Amaechi and Mr Freeborn Edetanlaen Okhiria, acting managing director of Nigerian Railways Corporation (NRC).
