Nokia Siemens Networks consolidates business regions

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has combined its Middle East and African business regions into one new regional organization, and has appointed Igor Leprince as the head.

The change means that Nokia Siemens Networks has expanded its Asia and Middle East regional cluster to include business in Africa.

The new Asia, Middle East & Africa cluster (AMEA) will manage the company’s customer operations in MEA, India, Asia Pacific, Greater China and Japan.

Ghana to Attract More Investments

The Ghanaian economy will continue to attract investment into energy, construction and services industries in 2013.

Head of Research at Databank Financial Services Limited, Accra , Sampson Akligoh, said this in a report by Bloomberg.

Akligoh said: “We see this trend continuing together with the associated demand for dollars to import inputs,” he said, forecasting the cedi at 2.01 a dollar by the end of 2013.

Agricultural Production Increases in 2012

Sumbe – The Confederation of Peasants Associations and Agro-Livestock Cooperative of the coastal Kwanza Sul province (UUNA), has recorded an increase in agricultural production in the region.

According to UNACA chairman, Davide Nunes, who was speaking to Angop, the increase resulted from the funding of the government to support the local farmers, through micro credit.

Plot buyers at the planned Thika Greens gated development have commenced construction of homes after the master developer made significant progress in servicing the land.

Sales for the Thika Greens Golf Estate begun in 2009, after which the developer embarked on building requisite infrastructure and amenities on site.
