New software to boost construction sector in Rwanda

Stakeholders in the construction sector in Rwanda are happy with a new system that is used to manage building permits in secondary cities around the country.
The Building Permit Management Information System (BPMIS) was unveiled by Rwanda Housing Authority (RHA) in Musanze District, Northern Province, in conjunction with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

South Africa constructs largest data centre in Africa

South Africa has announced that it had begun the construction of what will be the largest data centre in Africa to be housed in a 17 500sqm building. The construction work is being spearheaded by Teraco a South African company that already owns data centres in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

Google has awarded a $717,728 (roughly R10 Million) grant to the Southern Africa Federation of the Disabled (SAFOD) to develop technology that can assist people in Sub-Saharan Africa who are living with disabilities.
