Construction of Kenya’s first double decker highway to begin in earnest

Construction of Kenya’s first double decker highway has received the much needed impetus after the World Bank agreed to finance the project. The highway is aimed at decongesting the city.
The road, Kenya’s first double decker highway, is expected to link Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and Nairobi-Nakuru highway. Construction is set to begin by the end of 2016.

The construction of Ethiopia’s Ankober-Dulecha road has been launched and is expected to streamline the countries transport industry once complete,Ethiopian Road Authority has said.
According to the Ethiopian Road Authority the project will see a total of 40 Kilometers and will be cconstructed using the latest concrete asphalt technology.

Construction of the second phase of the new Mombasa Port container terminal is set to kick off after Kenya approved a Sh27.3 billion(US$273m) loan from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
