Mota-Engil, the African division of Portuguese construction firm has announced that it has signed a deal to build an international airport in Rwanda at a cost of $818-million, the company and government officials said.

Construction of Kenya’s first double decker highway has received the much needed impetus after the World Bank agreed to finance the project. The highway is aimed at decongesting the city.
The road, Kenya’s first double decker highway, is expected to link Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and Nairobi-Nakuru highway. Construction is set to begin by the end of 2016.

Tanzania is set to construct three major ring roads in Dodoma in the next financial year to ensure that they reduce the current congestion that has gripped the town. Government officials have said that all logistics needed are being put in place before work on the Ring Roads in Dodoma can kick off.

The construction of Ethiopia’s Ankober-Dulecha road has been launched and is expected to streamline the countries transport industry once complete,Ethiopian Road Authority has said.
According to the Ethiopian Road Authority the project will see a total of 40 Kilometers and will be cconstructed using the latest concrete asphalt technology.
