Ethiopia welcomes Turkish investors in energy sector

Ethiopia has entered a Memorandum of Understanding with four Turkish firms in a bid to see them undertake power generation projects to boost the energy sector in the country. The MOU was signed in Turkey when a delegation from Ethiopia visited the country.

Powerhive ends Kenya Power’s distribution monopoly

The government of Kenya has awarded a power distribution license to Powerhive East Africa a wholly owned subsidiary of US microgrid solutions provider Powerhive Inc effectively bringing to an end the local power utilities monopoly in the distribution of power.
