EWURA LOWERS POWER TARIFFS

Dar es Salaam. Power tariffs have been reduced by 2.21 percent for Tanzania Electric Supply Company customers who consume more than 75 units a month.
The fall becomes effective March 1, Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (Ewura) said on Friday.

Firm set to add 2MW of biogas-generated power into Kenya’s national grid

Kenya is about to welcome the first biogas electricity producing plant that will supply the national grid with additional 2MW once the group gains approval from Energy Regulatory Commission.

Kenya: Construction of Lamu electricity transmission line to cost US$ 3.5m

Construction of the Lamu – Nairobi East overhead electricity transmission line, which is expected to start this year after approval by National Environmental Management Authority, will cost US$ 3.5m.
